Revlon's 24-Hour Foundation

Introducing my latest make-up discovery – Revlon's Colorstay Foundation.

This came as a bit of a surprise since I'm a BB Cream person but when I got back from my first US trip, I had no choice but to buy liquid foundations because my skin had darkened so badly that all my BB creams made my face look like a floating mask. I had to buy several kinds to test and see which one had a shade that matched my complexion perfectly. One of the best ones I found was Revlon's Colorstay in 240 Medium Beige.

What the label says:
  • Wears up to 24 hours
  • Flawless look
  • Lightweight

What their website says:
  • Moisture balance formula with up to 24-hour wear
  • Satin finish
  • 12 beautiful, long-wearing shades
  • Buildable to full coverage

Product Description:
Long-wearing coverage with a lightweight formula that won’t cake, fade, or rub off. With Time Release Technology, this oil-free, moisture-balance formula is especially formulated for normal or dry skin to continuously provide hydration.

I wasn't really expecting much from this liquid foundation or any liquid foundation in general. My experience with BB Creams were far better than my experience with liquid foundations but this one surprised me. The coverage is excellent. It looks smooth and flawless, covering my red spots and pimples evenly, and it is lightweight! It feels as if I'm wearing nothing.

 Before and After

Apart from its flawless and full coverage, this liquid foundation really does stay longer on your face. I sweat easily, especially since I live in the Philippines where the weather is almost always humid. But ever since I started using this, I haven't found the need to retouch (which is actually a good thing since this semester has been hell and I barely have time to do anything else).

Different lighting; Starbucks at around noon, early afternoon

 After 8-9 hours in Starbucks

So far, this foundation has been living up to what their label/website/product description says. I haven't trusted a product this much since Etude House released its Moistfull Collagen BB Cream. This is a product I would recommend for a girl who's always on the run. Easy to use, stays longer, and it does not feel sticky on the skin.
