Glamourbox PH: April Box

Hello, Philippines!

A few months ago, the Philippines was finally introduced to sample boxes. Two different brands came out with their own samples box -- BDJ or Belle de Jour (more famously known for their planners) and Glamourbox. I've already posted a review on the first BDJ Box I got last year (click here to read about it) but it took some time before I could finally post my first ever review of Glamourbox. Since this is fairly new in the country, I was a bit hesitant to try it out since I don't really like spending too much money on something I wasn't sure of. But after two months of thinking, I finally gave in and subscribed to my first ever Glamourbox.

So what's the difference between the two? The price. Glamourbox is a little bit more expensive, but it's pretty much the same thing -- a monthly box of samples from various local and international brands. However, one thing I noticed was that Glamourbox's selections were a little more high-end. They had samples from Kerastase, Pevonia, YSL, etc. They even had samples from brands I haven't heard of, which are actually expensive. Yes, it may be a little bit more expensive, but you get so much more than what you pay for.

Since I didn't have time to blog about the first two boxes I got, I decided to write about the most recent box first. I'll post a separate entry on the first two Glamourboxes I received soon. :)

The April box had more useable products for everyday. Since I haven't been able to put on make-up the past couple of weeks, I haven't tried the other products on my previous boxes yet since most of them were cosmetics. This month, Glamourbox focused on Mother Earth and selected products which were green. The products I received in my box were:

1. Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm Magic Tink Tint in Happy Thoughts Pink -- PhP735

2. Mox Botanicals Lip Butter in Coconut Almondine -- PhP740 for a 0.2 oz cup (I got a 0.1 oz cup)

3. Mir and Ryvi Banana Soap -- PhP250/each for a regular bar (I got a smaller bar)

4.  Mir and Ryvi Soap Flakes -- PhP450 for a full 250 mL container (I got a smaller container for this one too)

5. Hollywood Style Light Summer Lotion -- PhP195 for a 275 mL bottle

6. Regatta Leisure for Men and Women -- PhP395 for a 50mL bottle (I got 2 sample sizes)

Some samples I got were not sample sizes like the Pixi Magic Tink Tint and the Hollywood Style Light Summer Lotion. These two alone already covers more than what I paid for for my April box. As you can see, Glamourbox's product line up is a mix of local and international products, but they don't drown you with samples from just one brand. I can say that they have more variety with the samples that they send their subscribers. I also enjoy the fact that sometimes, I get actual products not just sample sizes. For PhP595, I definitely got more than my money's worth with this month's samples.

Visit Glamourbox PH to subscribe. Their boxes run out quickly so be sure to click right away. :)
