This is not a new product. Benefit's POREfessional Primer has been in the market for years but this is the first time I've actually tried it. As I've mentioned in my previous blog entries, I'm a loyalist -- I usually stick to my tried and tested products and it takes me a while before trying new ones. Eventually, the good reviews I've read about this product made me decide to try it (and the fact that Sephora sells a tester size -- a smaller and more inexpensive tube).
This product claims to "minimize the appearance of pores". I've been using and experimenting with make-up for quite some time now and to be honest, I still don't know how minimized pores look like. Whenever I use primer, I do so because I want my make-up to stay longer since my face gets oily fast. Anyway, I finally tried this primer and.. I LIKE IT!
This is what the primer looks like -- creamy texture in a light brown/nude-ish shade. Despite the creamy texture, what I love about this primer is that once you spread it across your face, it has this powdery feel and finish. It does not feel greasy at all! The best part is, just a little goes a long, long way. I've been using this small tube for almost a month and I still have some left.
This primer actually reminds me of the finish of Skin Food's Black Egg Pore Primer. Non-greasy, powdery feel that's light on the face. However, Benefit's POREfessional Primer wins on the weight challenge. This is lighter than the already light Skin Food Black Egg Pore Primer.
In conclusion, this is definitely a new product that will be making my usual list. It's a bit expensive compared to the Korean primers I use but it's worth the extra pesos.

It feels very light on the face, not viscous, and it gives your skin this certain glow. If I didn't have genetically heavy eyebags, I would probably be wearing just this primer on my busy days. And some lipbalm.
See those eyebags? Ugh.
